Here we are at my fourth and final "wedding saying" themes on Mixed Media Monday - something blue. When I was thinking about what I could do for this challenge, two things kept coming into my mind - the blue bird of happiness and Neil Diamond's song - "Song Sung Blue". So I decided to use them both as my inspiration for this piece. The painting is done on a stretched canvas 20x25 cm or 8x10 in approximately. It is done in acrylics and some charcoal, and the words were printed from my computer and then glazed with acrylics.

I absolutely love your little "blue" bird...that chubby little bird immediately reminded me of an amber glass little bird ornament I have...same shape...and I have always loved it. They must be from the same family..a well-fed family (smile) Gorgeous bird for a wonderful theme. TFS and for all your work.

Such a cutie pie birdie! I have a confession to make - I always thought the lyrics to this song was song song blue... pretty close though. It's not as bad as me also thinking that forever in blue jeans was a song about the Reverend Bluegee... I worry abuot myself sometimes!
