Mixed Media Monday - Believe

It's finally my turn to host a challenge on Mixed Media Monday again. We have had some brilliant hosts, and there are more to come - but it's my turn this week, grin! I chose "believe" as the challenge this week, which is really open to each artist's interpretation. This is my piece - the scan isn't great, because scanners don't like anything too dimensional, but you can get an idea. I used a little canvas, just a little larger than an ATC - about 3.75 x 2.75 inches, on a little easel, which I picked up in an el cheapo shop for $2! I painted the background, and used collage images for the little children peaking through the windows, and the little angels. I used German scrap wings, and German scrap gothic windows. It doesn't really show in the scan, but there is also some gorgeous gold German scrap lace around the sides of the canvas. Just a fun little piece of whimsy.

What a great theme you gave us. Believe is my one of my favorite words... that and "fabulous" are neck & neck :-P Anywho... your work on this piece is lovely, I must come back and poke around your site when I've not got "sleepy-eyes" lol

This piece shows that art isn't just about what we see face on,it's about what we also find when we look further, look deeper, like these children faces showing through the "fret work"...wonderfully done.
