Mixed Media Monday - Bedtime Stories

This week on Mixed Media Monday the wonderful Beth is back with "bedtime stories" as a prompt for us all. I'm not entirely sure that Peter Pan is a "bedtime" story, but I so wanted to do a Tinkerbell piece for my first grandchild who is due in the new year :-) This is a 6x12 inch or 15x30 cm canvas and I painted the background with acrylic paint. I have then overlaid pieces of torn tissue paper with gold stars on it. I used a computer generated Tinkerbell image. The star is chipboard, painted gold and the word is from a ticket with the work printed on it.

Lovely piece Diane, I'm sure it'll look lovely in your new grandchild's room! I think Peter Pan is definitely a bedtime story! I really like the colours you have used, it's a lovely background!

Diane, this is adorable! It's perfect for a child's room, but the colors allow it to be grown up enough to stand the test of time in your grandchild's room.
