Mixed Media Monday - Cool It Down
After I chose this challenge for Mixed Media Monday I wondered why. Cool colours are not something I work with easily - I tend to gravitate to warm colours much more in my art. Then I remembered this gorgeous blue bottle that my daughter commandeered from her boyfriend for me. I think it had chilli wine in it. So the idea for an art doll developed. I used a silvery blue fabric paper (I'm not sure what it is called), some laces, a pair of feathery wings, an old plastic doll's head and a few other bits and pieces to create her.

Never mind how you made the doll.... tell me how to make chilli wine!!
Seriously though, she's a very smart little lady..
This is really cool! Both in color and design - what a great piece for inspiration! And, I don't know how I missed it, but I just saw last week's piece - your empty nest is just so perfect - I love it, Kristin xo
The silvery blue gives your doll quite an ethereal quality. Very nice!
I love your mix media piece. I have been wanting to make something with a dolls head for awhile now. I'm thinking about making it spooky for Halloween.
Very fun doll and a fun challenge too!
