Mixed Media Monday - Transparencies

This week on Mixed Media Monday, we have the fabulous Femmy as guest host. Femmy chose the theme "transparencies", and I found this lots of fun to work with. This piece is done on a piece of matt board, 6 inches by 4 inches. The different "ingredients" used include collage papers, page from an old book, gold German scrap painted and inked, lots of distress inks, and a transparency, that I burned the edges of, and painted with matt gel medium to take the shine off. Thanks for a fun challenge, Femmy!

Diane, this is lush! What a 'delight'!! I'm fascinated by the fact that you burnt the edges of the transparency... very brave!! I'm dangerous enough just doing soot stamping!!

This is absolutely amazing! Everything about it is sensational. The colours and the image go so well together, and I love the text behind the transparency. The most stunning piece of art I've seen in ages! True inspiration!
